At the Department of Society and Politics, we are committed to fostering a strong and supportive environment for our early career scholars, including postdoctoral researchers and PhD students. We help young researchers develop research and transferable skills, create strong collaboration and networks, build independent academic profiles and navigate the next steps in their careers.
A Collaborative Community
Across all career stages, we place strong emphasis on peer support, community building, shared learning and an awareness of a healthy life–work balance. To ensure their relevance and impact, our early career activities are developed by educational researchers specifically working on early career development and support. They are continuously evaluated and updated by a designated senior coordinator in close collaboration with our early career researchers. The activities at departmental level complement initiatives at both faculty and university levels, ensuring a coherent support system.
