The Valdemarian Empire 1168-1375 – an explorative network
This network explores the Danish-dominated empire that covered much of the Baltic region in the central Middle Ages. Bringing together an international group of scholars, it provides the first comprehensive, interdisciplinary examination of how the Valdemarian Empire was created and governed and of its consequences for the peoples and societies of the Baltic region. The network is funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF | Humanities).
